Luna & Mochi Approved the Cozy Corner

A tiny home reset, two very opinionated cats, and the soft little pet setup that made everything feel less chaotic.

Okay but hear me out... if Luna and Mochi both approve a corner of the house, that is basically a board-certified review. I was trying to make the living room feel softer and less cluttered, and somehow the whole project turned into a cat mom reset. Typical. I moved one basket, added one washable blanket, tucked the treats into a lidded bin, and suddenly they had a lounge, a toy station, and a suspiciously serious place to stare at me while I drink iced coffee.

The biggest thing I learned is that cat stuff does not have to look random. A low woven basket keeps toys easy to grab but still cute. A washable throw protects the chair they have clearly claimed as their property. Pet wipes by the door make stroller walks and little paw moments easier. And a scratcher that blends into the room keeps me from feeling like the whole house has been decorated by emergency purchases.

I also love having a tiny reset routine. On Sundays I toss the blanket in the wash, refill the treat jar, rotate two or three toys, and wipe down their favorite spots. It takes ten minutes, but it makes the room feel calm again. Luna likes anything plush and dramatic. Mochi prefers things she can bat under furniture and then look offended about. Balance.
